1991-1994 – Term Two – Sierra Leone
1991-1994 Sierra Leone Term Two
1991

We return to Sierra Leone. We use a video classroom program for the boys.
1992

The new classroom building is finished, and we are enjoying the new facilities. With the completion of the new classroom, we also have space for a small chapel, main classroom, and a classroom for the women. This gives Nancy a better place for the student’s wives program.
The missionary school where are children would attend is destroyed by fire and so we now have to make alternate plans for our children’s education. We use videos for one year and then invite Perry’s mom to come and be their tutor for a year.

There is a coup in the country, and we are evacuated. We travel through Senegal and spend a few days in Belgium as we make our way to the USA. Three months later we are back in Sierra Leone. Perry’s mother joins us and is the teacher for our children for the next nine months.
1993

We completed the construction of several projects, a library building and a gazebo. We also lay the foundation and pour the floor for the next dormitory. During the year we began planting palm trees on the other property.
1994

We lay the foundation for a new chapel. We finished our second term in Sierra Leone. We travel to Scotland, England, and Holland on our way home.
