1999-2000 – Another Change

On our way home we stop in Sydney Australia and enjoy a number of activities. A key one is attending a play at the Sydney opera house.

We then spend almost three weeks touring the west visiting a number of national parks including the Grand Canyon. We spend 3 days in Yellowstone with Perry’s cousin and family. Then we head to Idaho for a three day whitewater raft trip. Finally, back to Arizona and cross country to Kenosha. We did all of this in a pop-up trailer.

Nancy and Perry attend the General Conference of the church in North Carolina and meet the key leaders of Guyana as well as the area director Rick West. We learn that we will have three key areas of ministry. 1. Building a new building for the bible school. 2. Teaching at the bible school 3. Working with the Latin American churches in developing their own missions’ program.

Perry is able to make a short trip to Guyana to get acquainted with the leaders and our future place of service.

It is a busy time for Perry because he travels every weekend to raise support. The three children attend the Christian Life School. Nancy has been hired as an assistant to the Music Director, which makes it possible for us to pay the tuition fees. We once again are living in Perry’s mom’s house in Kenosha.
